Ethereal Drift is a small oil painting, just 3 by 4 inches, that captures a quiet moment in the night sky. A dark, star-filled background sets a still, expansive tone, while a luminous celestial body near the left center draws the eye. Around it, soft swirls of pink, lavender, and white clouds carry a textured, almost otherworldly quality, blending gently into the darkness. This piece came from a photo I took of the evening sky, and working with the oils allowed me to explore the subtle shifts between shadow and light, texture and depth, to convey a calm yet mysterious cosmic presence.
